Wow, it's been 4 months!
I have been crazy busy with a bunch of work, if your fan of
action figures you are gonna love what I have been working on.

Finally this holiday season I had some time to finish Skeletor's Throne!
I have been working on this, off and on, for over a year!!! Just whenever I could
I would add a little something but finally I took some time to finish it.

The base is foam core with MagicSculpt over it. The bones are all MagicSculpt.

A little hint on the background it's the inside of my Castle Grayskull...which I am finally working on...

skeletor's robot knights

I've been working on these for months...finally they are done!
These are complete new sculpts that are fully articulated. The head turns, the shoulders are swivel joints and the elbows are ball joints. Plus they have removable shoulder pads and the hands can interchanged with various weapons like a laser gun, saw blade and a mace. I also sculpted a new stand for him as the current stands would make him too high.

evil horde Imp

When Jose Luis Mourelle showed me his sculpture of Hordak's Imp I was blown away.
I admired it for months, when things finall slowed down for at work I decided to sculpt my own. Jose's version is much taller almost 3"...I think. I sculpted mine as close as I could to proper cartoon scale. He's about 1.75" tall, the smallest thing I have sculpt so far. His head turns and his shoulders are ball joints, thanks to my 3" Sonic figure.

rock monster

When I saw the figure "chunk" from Toy Story 3, I instantly thought that Pixar designed him with the old 80's cartoons in mind. He looked like a Filmation character. I picked one up, glued his face in place, and re-sculpted it with Magic Sculpt. The I sprayed on some texture and gave him a stone looking paint job. I think he fits right in with Masters of the Universe line!

shadow beast

Inspired by the new Masters of the Universe Classics line. The design is based on the original Filmation cartoon with some design hints of the 2002 cartoon.

The base body is "The Pitt" from Legendary Comic Book Heroes. I shaved down the body using a dremel. I then applied Magic Sculpt and sculpted on the fur. That part took forever and a day! Next I sculpted a new head for him and finally painted him using various shades of Blue and Purple.

logo

The influence for my new logo is an 80's toy store my parents used to take me to.
It was called Toys by Roy, it was one of the greatest stores ever!
Located in Basset Center Mall.
...I really miss the old days of mall toy stores.

They had everything there and that's where my passion for toys started.
So I saw it only fitting that I pay homage to Toys by Roy.

welcome to my blog!
